More Than Medals: A Family of Archers

What makes our Roots Archery team so special is not only the results but also the beautiful family connections within it. Parents and children, brothers and sisters, all stepping onto the range with the same passion, discipline, and love for the sport. This shared commitment strengthens our community and sets an example of unity for all.

What makes archery stand apart from many other sports is that it is built on integrity. Scoring, line calls, and fair play often rest in the hands of the archers themselves, requiring honesty and respect at every step. Officials, too, must exercise impartiality, ensuring a level playing field. This unique reliance on trust and accountability makes archery more than just a contest of skill; it is a testament to the importance of trust and accountability. It becomes a test of character, where honesty and sportsmanship weigh as heavily as precision and accuracy.

The Danie Joubert shoot was just one chapter in our archers’ story. With the Community Hope Ranking Shoot ahead on 30 August and Nationals on 18 October, the best is yet to come. Watch this space as our team continues to aim high and stay rooted in integrity.
