Senior Primary School

We follow a bespoke curriculum in our Senior Primary School, mainly based on the international Cambridge curriculum, where our main medium of instruction is English, although we offer additional languages such as Afrikaans and German as well.

 

There’s a strong emphasis on Mathematics, Science & Technology, and language acquisition.

In our core subjects (Science, Mathematics, English, and Global Perspectives), we follow the international Cambridge frameworks. Other subjects include Agriculture, Physical Education, Code-AI, Bible Education, Creative arts, Consumer Sciences, and Art.

 

We embrace 21st-century learning by incorporating technology into our classrooms, thereby raising children who are ‘digitally literate’ and good digital citizens. By embracing innovative technology in our school, we are speaking the language our learners understand.

 

Our goal is to develop responsible, independent, and proud individuals who will make a positive contribution to society. Our ethos is governed by Christian values (ethics and morals) where learners are encouraged to explore and express their individuality within acceptable boundaries, and ultimately take responsibility for their actions.

 

We guide them to follow their hearts and minds to develop into the best people they can be.

Our dynamic curriculum covers problem-solving, critical- and creative thinking, and the development of skills and values. Roots Gymnasium produces a community of teenagers who know how to think innovatively, express their ideas, and take charge of their own lives.
