Boy Oh Boy! The Roots Family Is Expanding!

We are thrilled to share joyful news from within our Rootie Family! Two cherished members of our staff, Mr Jandré and Mrs Yolandé van Wyk, are expecting a baby boy, due at the end of January 2026.

The parents to be shared the exciting news on Friday with all the personnel.

The excitement is contagious, especially in Mrs Yolandé’s Grade 1 class, where the learners are celebrating as if they’re welcoming a baby brother themselves! Their delight speaks volumes about the warmth and connection that fill our classrooms.

Meanwhile, Mr Jandré, our Director of Sports and proud coach of the U15 and U19 rugby teams, might just be training a future player of note. With such big rugby cleats to fill, this little boy is already part of a strong legacy rooted in passion, care, and community.

Congratulations, Mr and Mrs van Wyk! Your growing family brings even more joy to ours, and we can’t wait to meet the newest little Rootie.
